Restore project

Move the upgraded project configuration files from the test environment to the new production environment.
When you make a project backup, the server and Studio continue to run during the backup process. However, when you restore a project, AVEVA Production Management stops the server and Studio disconnects during the restoration process.
When the restore process finishes, the server restarts, and Studio and any clients will reconnect automatically. The restored project downloads and displays on the clients appropriately.
Restore a project
-
In Studio, create or open the project over which you want to restore.
-
On the Project menu, click Restore. The following message appears.

-
Decide whether to keep or clear the current runtime property values.
Note: If you clear this check box, AVEVA Production Management clears the current values for runtime data, and replaces these values with the data values that were valid at the time the backup took place.
-
Click Yes to continue.
-
Navigate to and select the backup file to restore. Click Open.
-
When the restoration process finishes, click OK.
-
Restart the AVEVA Production Management service.
