Important: AVEVA™ Production Management introduces a new Notification system, but retains the ability to define external notifications. Future development will phase out the old notification system. We suggest you use the newer and more robust Notification system. See, Add and configure Client Notification command.
A notification action item defines the messages to send in the event that the condition transitions to another state.
-
If the condition transitions to True, AVEVA™ Production Management sends the dynamic message defined in TrueMessageExpression.
-
If the condition transitions to False, AVEVA™ Production Management sends the dynamic message defined in FalseMessageExpression.
Actions also contain a property to specify the minimum amount of time to wait before the message is sent, and the subject line of the message.

To add a notification action
You can add as many actions as you like and AVEVA Production Management processes each of them. An action defines what to do, based on the current status of the notification condition.
-
Select the relevant notification rule, and click Add Notification Action. A new notification action appears.
-
Rename the action with a meaningful name.
-
Configure the properties. For guidance in configuring the properties, see Notification action properties.
