AVEVA™ Production Management

Adhoc material movement

An Adhoc material movement is a one-time movement that the Operator creates manually, instead of being automatically generated by AVEVA™ Production Management. You can define custom fields for ad-hoc movements.

Routine movements

Usually what you do is set up predefined templates for routine movements in Studio. Routine movements are configured to happen automatically. This is the most common kind of material movement.

Ad-hoc movements

Occasionally, the Operator is required to create a material movement manually and this is the reason for ad-hoc movements.

There is a default Adhoc Material Movement item under the Material Movements folder. Only one Adhoc material movement item is required, because not much preconfiguration is required. Most details are put into the system by the Operator.

LocationIdentifier

You can specify a unique external identifier for an Adhoc Material Movement item, so that AVEVA™ Production Management recognizes the reporting point from an external system. For example, the identifier from SAP for the reporting point.
