The state of a Planning record can change either automatically, manually, or both. In some cases, the project is configured to automatically change the state of a Planning record, depending on the workflow that is designed for your process.

For more information, see Understand the Planning workflow.

To change the current state of a Planning record manually
-
In the results grid, right-click the Planning record, point to Change State, and select the required state; for example Active or Pending.
The available states depend on the specific configuration for your site.
To change the Planning state for multiple records
You can multi-select Planning records that are currently in the same state and perform a manual state change on all of them. Previously, you needed to make these record state changes one at a time.
Note When a TagDownload is configured at that Planning reporting point, the multi-select state change function to Active is disabled.
-
Select the first Planning record, hold the Shift key and select the last record. All records must currently be in same state.
-
Right-click the selection, point to Change State, then choose the new Planning state. Only valid states will be available.

A message appears and displays how many successful changes occurred.
Note In the default Planning workflow configuration, only one Planning record may be in the Active state at a time. Only one record will change.
