Add a Material Quality custom field

A Material Quality custom field defines what Material Quality data AVEVA™ Production Management records. A Material Quality reporting point contains Quality standard fields and any number of custom fields that you define. At the reporting point, you can add, configure, and delete custom fields.

Note: The Material Quality reporting points contains some default fields under the Fields folder. When the Material Quality reporting point contains a capture condition, configure the HistoricalFieldExpression property for the Material and Lot default fields.

Relationship between Calculated Inventory and Material Quality

When you configure Calculated Inventory source fields, these source fields become available to all future Material Quality reporting points in the project. However, for existing Material Quality reporting points, you can add manually, if required.

To add a Material Quality field

1. Right-click the relevant Material Quality reporting point and select Add Field. The new field appears.

   

2. Rename the field with a meaningful name.

3. Configure the field properties. For guidance in configuring the fields, see Material Quality custom field properties.
