AVEVA™ Production Management

How to set up Production

These are the basic steps for setting up Production.

1

Prepare for Production

Before you add a Production reporting point, do the following:

  • (Optional) Define the product hierarchy. Product definitions are not mandatory to configure Production, but they are necessary when you link product types, product specifications and production runs.

  • (Optional) Define period definitions. With period definitions, you can specify repeatable lengths of time in the plant process; for example, a day or a shift.

  • (Optional) Define time events. With time events, you can base events on calendar dates and times; for example, once every week.

2

Define Production reporting points

You can define the properties of reporting points to specify how AVEVA™ Production Management captures Production data.

  • In the plant hierarchy, locate positions for adding Production reporting points.

3

Define when to capture Production data

Reporting Points can contain different conditions that specify when to capture Production data.

4

Define what information to capture

Define fields and specify the field properties that specify what information to capture.
