Example: Create an Inventory Administrator role

Example: Enabling permissions for an Inventory Administrator

This example shows how to create an Inventory Admin and make Tom Brown an Inventory Admin.

  1. Create a new security role. Name it Inventory Admin.

  2. Assign the needed Inventory operations to the Inventory Admin security role. For example:

    • View Record

    • Add Record

    • Modify Record

    • Delete Record

    • Reprocess Movement Events

    • Finalize Movement Events

  3. Assign the Inventory Admin security role to a AVEVA™ Production Management User. For example, make Tom Brown an Inventory Admin.

  4. Give the user access to Inventory configuration item.

    Right-click the Inventory configuration item, click Permissions.

    Give the AVEVA™ Production Management User permissions on the Inventory configuration item. For example, give Tom Brown permissions on the Inventory configuration item.
