AVEVA™ Production Management

Add and configure a Maintenance capture condition

  • Last UpdatedMar 14, 2025
  • 1 minute read

A Maintenance capture condition defines the condition that occurs to initiate a data capture.

With Maintenance capture conditions, you use expressions and triggers to specify when Studio is to create a Maintenance record. Also, an operator can use AVEVA™ Production Management to manually add and edit Maintenance records.

For more information about how Maintenance works, see About Maintenance.

Guidelines

  • You can add multiple capture conditions to a Maintenance reporting point.

  • AVEVA™ Production Management creates a new Maintenance record when any capture condition occurs.

To add a Maintenance capture condition

  1. In Studio, right-click the relevant Maintenance reporting point, and then click Add Capture Condition. A new Maintenance capture condition appears.

Studio project hierarchy view showing an expanded Maintenance Reporting Point with an Expression Capture Condition item.

  2. Rename the condition with a meaningful name.

  3. Configure the properties. For guidance in configuring the properties, see Maintenance capture condition properties.
