Add and configure a Lot capture condition

Lot reporting points and Material Quality reporting points both have capture conditions. You can configure conditions, which trigger these reporting points to capture data.

Lot capture conditions contain an expression that define when a Lot reporting point records information. You can add multiple capture conditions to a single reporting point. AVEVA™ Production Management creates a new Lot data record each time any of the conditions transitions to True.

Note: Previous to AVEVA™ Production Management 6.0, both Lot and Material Quality reporting points were lot-driven reporting points; however, this is no longer the case.

To add a Lot capture condition

Capture conditions define the conditions under which to initiate data capture.

1. Right-click the relevant Lot reporting point, and then click Add 'Capture' Condition. A new condition item appears.

   

2. Rename the condition with a meaningful name.

3. Configure the properties. For guidance in configuring the properties, see the Lot capture condition properties.
