Add and configure storage unit properties

A storage zone represents a type of work unit that is used for storage. For more information on work units, see About work units.

Note: Storage units inherit the values of these properties from their parent work centers: AllowedMaterials, LotBehavior, LotGroupRequired. However, you can override the values with local values for the work unit.

You can add a storage unit to a Storage Zone work center in the plant hierarchy.

Add a storage unit

1. In Project Explorer, right-click a Storage Zone work center, point to Add Item, point to Work Units, and then click Storage Unit. A new storage unit appears.

   

2. Rename the storage unit with a meaningful name.
