Production provides an accurate and real-time picture of what happens during your production process. To do this, it accumulates data from the inputs and outputs of the plant, including materials, consumables, energy, waste, emissions, reject and product output.
This gives you better, more informed, and timely decision-making ability to improve production efficiency. You can generate reports by product, shift, throughput, consumables, and waste to provide clear and concise information to help you prioritize actions.
The automatic real-time logging and single point-of-entry for manually entered production values minimizes the time, issues, and costs associated with manual and duplicate data-entry.
When does Production capture information?
For most fields, when AVEVA Production Management captures a production record, AVEVA Production Management sends their current value to the data repository. However, you can configure some fields not to capture a value when AVEVA Production Management creates the record so that an operator can update the record in AVEVA Production Management.
What special field types does Production have?
When you define the custom fields, you can configure each to have a special type for use in later analysis. The special field types available are:
-
Input
-
Consumables
-
Waste
-
Output
-
Reject
-
Product
What is an Accumulator field
An accumulator field is a field that relies upon a constantly increasing tag value. An example of this is a tag that counts the number of products that pass it on a production line. When a production record is captured, you do not want the actual value for the tag but the difference between the current value of the tag and the value of the last created record for the tag.
