About Knowledge diary

Knowledge includes an online diary for capturing knowledge and data that is observed during operations. The Knowledge diary acts as a logbook in which authorized staff can record their observations, suggestions, ideas, interpretations, and insights. In Studio, the Library folder of a Knowledge reporting point automatically includes a diary.

A Knowledge diary can capture knowledge that only people closest to plant production can impart such as:

• Observations of incidents.

• Suggestions of improvements.

• Ideas about alternative methods.

• Interpretations of data.

• Insight into the culture and operation of the plant.

How does it look in the client?

When the user selects Knowledge on the Module Selection pane, AVEVA™ Production Management automatically displays the Standard Diary option in the View Selection pane. Choosing the Standard Diary option causes AVEVA™ Production Management to display records that Knowledge automatically captures and staff manually add. The diary includes an online sketchpad for adding sketches to diary entries.
