About Process Quality

An overview topic of Process Quality.

Quality Specifications

There a are several types of quality specification items that enable you to define limits for field values; for example, acceptable ranges for heat.

How does AVEVA Production Management collect Process Quality data?

AVEVA™ Production Management calculates process quality data through the use of the following elements:

Quality reporting points

A Quality reporting point collects process-related quality data.

Capture conditions

A capture condition defines the condition that occurs to initiate a data capture. You can base a condition on period definitions (for example, per Day or per Shift) or on time events (for example, every 15 minutes, or every week).

Fields

A Quality field defines what data to record. The properties of a field establish criteria such as the type of product (for example, Input, Consumable), whether the data value is a quantity, and whether to accumulate the quantity.

Threshold ranges

A threshold range item defines the out-of-specification limits for field data. You can associate labels and colors with data ranges.
