Add and configure a single time event

The Single time event item enables you to define an event that occurs only one time.

Time event option items, Monthly Time Event, Periodic Time Event, Single Time Event, and Weekly Time Event.

You can add timers anywhere in the project; however, it is a good idea to create a Timers folder and store the timers together in one location.

To add a single time event

  1. In the plant hierarchy, right-click the location that you want to contain the time event, point to Add Item, then point to Time Event Item, then select Single Time Event. A new Single time event item appears.

  2. Rename the time event with a meaningful name.

  3. Specify the properties for the single time event.

  4. Configure the properties. For guidance in configuring the properties, see Single time event properties.
