Understand Lot Group balance adjustments

You can add a lot group balance adjustment to increase or decrease the balance of a lot group. A positive adjustment increases the balance of a lot group, and a negative adjustment decreases the balance of a lot group.

There are two adjustment methods you can apply to a lot group.

Percentage adjustment

A percentage adjustment on a lot group, increases or decreases the lot group balance by a percentage of the original lot group balance. The adjustment amount is distributed across the lots in weighted amounts.

Example 1: Percentage adjustment

In this example, the original balance of Lot Group 1 is 350 tons. An adjustment of 20% is made, which is equal to 70 tons. The new balance of Lot Group 1 is 420 tons, with the adjustment amount distributed across the lots in weighted amounts.

Absolute adjustment

An absolute adjustment on a lot group, increases or decreases the lot group balance by a specific amount. Any lots with negative balances are paid back first and the remainder of the adjustment amount is distributed across the rest of the lots in weighted amounts.

Example 2: Absolute adjustment

In this example, the original balance of Lot Group 1 is 250 tons. This includes LOTA with a negative balance. An adjustment of 200 tons is made. The negative balance in LOTA is paid, then the remainder of the adjustment is distributed across the rest of the lots in weighted amounts.
