Prepare for Energy events

Before you add an Energy reporting point, do the following:

• Verify that you have defined your plant hierarchy.

Define Energy reporting points

You can define the properties of reporting points to specify how AVEVA™ Production Management captures Energy.

• In the plant hierarchy, locate positions for Add and configure an Energy reporting point.

Define when to capture Energy events

Reporting points can contain different conditions that specify when to capture Energy events.

Define what information to capture

Define fields and specify the field properties to specify what information to capture during an overconsumption event.

• Add an Energy custom field

Split an Energy event

You can specify Energy to be distributed over different time periods. For example, split between Shift A and Shift B.
