AVEVA™ Production Management

Quality for Inventory

AVEVA™ Production Management has two types of specialized quality data that provide support for Inventory.

The records for Material Quality and Calculated Quality are handled differently than the records for Process Quality.

Quality Events

The concept of Quality Events is similar to the concept of Movement Events in Inventory.

A Quality event is a request for a Calculated Quality or Material Quality operation to occur. AVEVA™ Production Management stores the quality requests, until such time as Inventory data reprocessing is performed in the client. After processing, the events become processed Quality records.

Also similar to Inventory reprocessing, there are two sets of data: an input set of data events (requests) and a resulting set of data (processed records).

Quality Reprocessing

The processing of Calculated Quality to estimate quality is part of Inventory reprocessing. When a Quality record is updated, a Calculated Quality record is not updated until Inventory reprocessing is complete.
