Select fields to include in custom views

After completing the prerequisite tasks, select the fields to include in the resulting custom view.

Before you can select fields, make sure you have done the following steps.

• Configure the primary table

• Add and configure a Secondary table (optional)

• Create a join field

To specify fields to include in custom view

1. In Studio, select the Custom View item.

   

2. In the Properties pane, next to the Fields property, click Browse (...). The CustomViewField Collection Editor appears.

   

3. Click Add to add a field.

4. Specify the field properties.

   • SourceField - The field as it appears in the original table.

   • DataType - Specify the data type.

   • DisplayName - Specify the name to appear in the custom view.

   • DisplayFullName - Specify the full name to appear in the custom view.

5. Click Add again to add more fields as required. There is no restriction on the number of fields.
