Add and configure a Product threshold value

  • Last UpdatedMar 26, 2025

A threshold value enables you to configure a Boolean value as a threshold. If the threshold value is True, any sample that is False is considered to be out of threshold. If the threshold value is False, any sample that is True is considered to be out of threshold.

Depending on your configuration, the data cell will appear colored in the results grid to indicate a non-conforming specification.

Notes:

  • The Data Type of a threshold value item is only Boolean. Therefore, no data type property appears in the property panel.

  • When a product field specification contains a threshold value, it cannot contain a threshold range or specification limits item at the same time because these items have numeric data types.

How it looks in the data grid

The threshold colors display in the Production Analyst results grid to inform operators of out-of-threshold data. For more information on configuring warning labels and colors, see About the System Configuration folder.

You can add only one threshold value item to a product field specification.
