These are the basic steps for setting up XML uploads.

Prepare for XML uploads

Before you can use XML uploads, prepare the following:

  • What fields are available to use based on a selected reporting point.

  • An XML transformation to transform the raw data into the XML file.

  • At least one directory. AVEVA™ Production Management permits the XML file to be saved to multiple directories, for example, one for a label printing system and one for an ERP.

Add an XML Upload

You can add XML uploads to any Applications folder.

In the plant hierarchy, locate the positions for Adding XML uploads.

Define destinations

Define the destinations to upload the XML data.

Define custom fields

Define any additional custom fields to pass to the external system.
