FieldType

Specifies the type of data that the field displays. This property helps distinguish particular fields that the work order table must contain from additional fields.

The FieldType property of a work order table field identifies the field as one the following types:

• ID - Assign this field type to the mandatory fields for work order number and equipment ID. You can also assign this field type to fields that contain information such as ID numbers for products and lots.

• UserCompany - Assign this field type to only the mandatory field for originator.

• Other - Assign this field type to fields other than the originator field and fields that require a field type of ID.

FieldIDType

This property becomes available when you choose ID for the Field Type property of a work order table field.

Assign the EquipmentID option only to the mandatory field for equipment ID, and you should assign the Other option to the mandatory field for work order request number.
