The Class Explorer provides an interface to add, configure, and manage the classes in your project. You can also define custom property definitions in the Class Explorer interface.
Items that are ISA-95 models can be associated with these classes:
Access the Class Explorer
-
Click the Class Explorer tab, next to the Project Explorer tab.

Add a class
-
Right-click the relevant class folder, and click Add...ClassDefinition.

Configure custom properties for classes
After you add a class, you can Add custom properties to a class.
Move the Class Explorer into the center workspace
You can drag and drop the Class Explorer panel into the center workspace area of Studio.
Tip: Double-click the title bar to return the Class Explorer to its default location.

Associate project items with classes
After you define a class, you can create an association between an item and a defined class. The item then belongs to this class and therefore inherits the custom properties of the class. This simplifies the process of configuration on a large scale, because you can design the inherit properties of a class one time, and then make an item a member of the class with these properties. See, Associate project items with classes.
