Add a sketch

Knowledge includes an online sketchpad that you can use to add sketches to diary entries, which are Knowledge records. The sketchpad includes tools to sketch shapes and lines, add text, and specify color, pen width, and transparency.

AVEVA Production Management simultaneously displays diary records in the Results grid and the Preview pane. The Results grid shows diary records as records in a table, and the Preview pane shows a diary record as a page. Sketches appear with the diary record in the Preview pane.

Note The sketch option appears only where it is enabled in your project configuration.

To add a sketch

If enabled, you can add sketches to diary records in the Knowledge module.

1. In Knowledge, create a Knowledge record or edit an existing Knowledge record.

2. On the Knowledge record dialog box, click Browse (...) next to Sketch.

   

   The online sketchpad appears.

   

3. Create the sketch according to your requirements. For information about how to use the sketching tools, see Use the Sketching Tools.

4. Click Save and Close.

5. On the toolbar of the dialog box, click Save.

6. On the File menu, click Exit. AVEVA Production Management displays the sketch with the diary record in the Preview pane.
