Elements used for Downtime calculation

AVEVA™ Production Management calculates downtime through the use of the following elements.

Reporting points

The Downtime reporting point item is the main element for capturing Downtime data.

Capture conditions

A capture condition defines the condition that occurs to initiate a data capture. You can base a condition on period definitions; for example, per day or per shift, or on time events; for example, every 15 minutes, or every week.

Split conditions

A split condition defines the conditions when Downtime events are automatically split into two separate events.

Custom fields

A Downtime field defines what data to record. The properties of a field collect information such as location and duration of Downtime events.

Evaluated fields

A Downtime evaluated field enables you to combine the values of other fields.

Masks

A mask defines the condition when a Downtime event is a duplication of another Downtime event and therefore the data from one of the events is masked. The masked data does not contribute to overall data results.

Business rules

A business rule enables you to specify criteria to perform a validation process on data records.

Threshold ranges

A threshold range defines the boundaries of multiple limits for acceptable ranges for data.

Threshold values

A threshold value enables you to configure a Boolean value as a threshold.
