Core Components

AVEVA™ Production Management has the following core components:

• Application server

  The application server runs AVEVA™ Production Management on the Microsoft .NET Framework.

• Configuration database

  The configuration database stores the project parameters and design. The configuration database is hosted by a supported version of SQL Server.

• Data repository

  The data repository stores the collected data for the project in a SQL database.You can configure a data repository object and the connection settings in Studio.

• State database

  The state database is a SQL Server database that provides storage outside of the AVEVA™ Production Management project database for temporary or transient information.
