Add a tariff

A Tariff item provides a mechanism to calculate energy use at different times of the day according to different rate structures to figure out how much your Energy use costs. Tariffs and rate structures are designed to be used with Production under a Production reporting point.

There is a Rate Management folder under the System Configuration folder that contains rate structures and tariffs.

• The Tariff item represents a tariff period that is later referenced by a rate structure.

• The Rate Structure item combines one or more tariffs into a structure to determine what the rate of energy is at a particular point in time.

You can add as many tariff items to the Tariffs folder as you require.

To add a Tariff

1. Right-click the Tariff folder and select Add Tariff. The new tariff appears under the Tariff folder.

   

2. Rename the tariff with a meaningful name. There are no special properties to set for tariffs.
