Install software prerequisites

The order in which you install software components on the server is important for AVEVA Production Management to operate correctly. Install the software components in the following sequence.

1. Install a clean version of the server operating system.

2. Install Internet Information Services (IIS).

3. Enable Windows Authentication and other required Role Services for IIS.

4. Install OTP and RabbitMQ.

5. Install Microsoft .NET.

6. Enable HTTP Activation under Web Services.

7. Install Setup.exe.

   Note: Starting with version 9.0, Microsoft SQL Server is no longer required to be installed on the AVEVA Production Management server—it can be anywhere in your environment. You can specify its remote location during the installation process when prompted to provide the SQL Server instance name.
