The Movement Events view provides an interface to view all requested movement operations.

A movement event is a request for an Inventory operation to occur. These Inventory operations can include material movements, material class movements, balance adjustments, and survey adjustments. AVEVA Production Management stores all original movement requests, which are later processed into movement records. You can view movement events in the Movement Events view before processing the requests. After processing, the processed records appear in the Movements view.

The Movements Event view enables you to view the following:

  • Movements that AVEVA Production Management automatically records,

  • Movements that authorized users add manually,

  • Balance adjustments that authorized users add manually, and

  • Balance adjustments that are the result of an automatic calculation by AVEVA Production Management to match a survey result.

Note In the Movement Events view, balance adjustments are shown as movements without a source.

For information on the grid's displayed fields as shown in the following screenshot, see Standard fields in the grid.

You can also view the processing details on the Make Changes tab of the Event editor.

Using the Movement Events view

When a source lot or destination lot appears blank, this could be due to the following reasons:

  • The movement was to or from a work center with lot behavior of Mixed.

  • The movement involved multiple lots at the either the source or destination location.

  • If the destination lot is created by a lot generator, the value does not display.

Filter on Contributor values

You can filter on contributor values in the Movement Events view. Click the Filter button, and use the Contributors tab.
