AVEVA™ Production Management

Add and configure a Metrics capture condition

  • Last UpdatedMar 14, 2025
  • 2 minute read

A Metrics capture condition relies on period definitions to define the amount of time that AVEVA™ Production Management specifies in the KPI query. Metrics capture conditions do not contain an expression, because the expression function is handled by formulas. In Metrics, capture conditions handle the time duration only.

Note: You cannot add conditions directly, as you can in other modules. When you select periods in the period hierarchy, they automatically appear beneath the Conditions folder.

To add a Metrics capture condition

  1. Select the relevant Metrics reporting point, or plant hierarchy, and click Browse (...) next to the Period Hierarchy property.

Studio Properties pane highlighting the Period Hierarchy property set to Day in Period Hierarchy section.

  2. On the Period Hierarchy Editor, select the time periods that you want AVEVA™ Production Management to use when KPI queries are run. The periods you select appear under the Conditions folder.

There are no specific properties to specify for Metrics capture conditions.
