Effect lookup list

An effect enables you to predefine the outcomes of Downtime events or Energy events. A user can select from a predefined list of allowed values for a location. This promotes consistency across the data set and better analysis.

After you define an effect, you can make this effect available at certain locations in the hierarchy. Operators can select the effect as the outcome for a Downtime or Energy event. An effect can be used individually, or as part of a relationship matrix.

Tip: Lookup lists are a way to populate menu options that appear as drop-down menu items in the Details dialog box.

Examples of effects

Create effects for equipment types as a single list of items. These are assigned to specific types of equipment in the relationship matrix.

Examples

  • Changeover

  • Jammed

  • Temperature High

  • Temperature Low

  • Thermal Overload
