Add and configure a periodic time event

You can add timers anywhere in the project; however, it is a good idea to create a Timers folder and store the timers together in one location.

To add a periodic time event

  1. In the plant hierarchy, right-click the location that you want to contain the time event, point to Add Item, then point to Time Event Item, then select Periodic Time Event. A new Periodic time event item appears.

  2. Rename the time event with a meaningful name.

  3. Configure the properties. For guidance in configuring the properties, see Periodic time event properties.
