Specify the size of the Application event log

AVEVA™ Production Management writes to your Application event log. Verify that the event log doesn’t run out of space, or roll over too quickly after the crash since information could be lost.

Depending on the number of exceptions that your system generates, consider a sizeable log size. In the following example, the log size is set to 250 MB. A log size of 100 MB – 250 MB is recommended for most installations.

To specify Application Event Log properties

1. Open the Windows Control Panel.

2. Open Administrative Tools.

3. Open Event Viewer.

4. Right-click Applications and click Properties.

   

5. Specify the Maximum log size at 100 MB – 250 MB.

6. Click Apply.
