Test the OPC HDA data connection

After you set OPC HDA data connection properties, you can test the connection. Before you test the connection, verify that the OPC HDA server is running and online.

To test the OPC HDA data connection

1. In the Project Explorer, right-click the data connection.

   

2. Click Test Connection. A message appears about the result of the test.

   If the test does not succeed, reconfigure the connection properties and try again.
