The AVEVA™ Production Management template function provides the capacity to insert a tag location read from a Model Property of the template target. This uses the contextualized properties and expressions to reference information recorded in the Model Property specified in the contextualized property. The following section describes how to enter the string into the Model Property so that the template finds the correct item.

Each template is linked to an equipment class. The property definitions for that Equipment class must include each property described in the reference <<Lookup(Target.CustomProperty)>>.

Example

In this example, the target equipment is a Longwall and the Custom Property is MPS (meters per second). This would be expressed as <<Lookup(Target.MPS)>>.

The string in the default value must reference the location of the tag in your project. However, the prefix Project and separating square brackets are not required.

Studio Property Definitions dialog box showing the target equipment called Longwall and custom property is meter per second. The string in the default value reference the location tag in the project.

Next step: Step 5: Apply and equipment template
