Delete a diary record

Diary records are Knowledge records. AVEVA Production Management simultaneously displays diary records in the Results grid and the Preview pane. The Results grid shows diary records as records in a table, and the Preview pane shows a diary record as a page.

Note Your ability to add, edit, and delete diary records depends on your security level.

To delete a diary record

1. Navigate to the correct module, location, and view.

2. In the Results grid, right-click the record that you want to delete, and then select Delete. A message appears and asks you to confirm that you want to delete the record.

3. Select Yes. AVEVA Production Management sets the status of the record as deleted.

   

In AVEVA Production Management, when you delete a diary record it is not permanently removed. AVEVA Production Management only gives the record a status of deleted so that you can filter the records from view. The records remain available in case you want to view them again.

In the Results grid, a deleted record displays a check mark in the column that has a red X for the column heading. After you delete a record, you cannot change its status from deleted.
