An OLE-DB lookup list defines a list from a table in an external OLE DB table.

Tip: Lookup lists are a way to populate menu options that appear as drop-down menu items in the Details dialog box.

Before you add an OLE DB lookup list, check that you have added and properly configured an OLE-DB Connector.

Add an OLE-DB lookup list

  1. In Studio, expand the System Configuration folder, then right-click Lookup Lists and select Add Ole Db Lookup List. A new item appears.

  2. Give the lookup list a meaningful name.

  3. Configure the properties. For guidance in configuring the OLE-DB lookup list item, see OLE-DB lookup list properties.
