Add or delete a relationship in the relationship matrix

You can add a relationship matrix to a selected location in your plant hierarchy.

To add a relationship to the relationship matrix

  1. Select a location in the plant hierarchy.

  2. Click Browse (...) next to the Relationship Matrix property to open the Relationship Matrix dialog box.

  3. Next to the Type field, select whether this relationship matrix is intended for Downtime events or Energy events.

  4. Click Add. The Add Relationship dialog box appears. Depending on whether you selected Downtime or Energy, the defined causes, classifications, and effects for that type display in the Add Relationship dialog box.

  5. Select the appropriate cause code, classification, and effect (optional) from the list. It is possible to select multiple cause codes and classifications at the same time. In this case, a relationship is created for each pairing of cause code and classification.

  6. Click Save & Close. The new relationship appears in the relationship matrix.

To delete a relationship from the relationship matrix

If you no longer want a relationship matrix to be associated with a specific location, you can delete it.

  1. Open the Relationship Matrix dialog box.

  2. Select the relationship that you want to remove, and click Remove. You can use the Ctrl or Shift keys while you select to select multiple relationships.

  3. Click Save & Close.
