Set the StartupMode property

Every project item has a StartupMode property. Server uses this property to determine whether the item starts automatically when the server next starts. The options for this property are Auto or Manual.

When Server next starts, it reads the StartupMode property setting for each item and only starts those on the server that are set to Auto. It does not change the StartupMode property setting.

However, when you manually start, or stop, an item in Studio or client, the item starts or stops depending on where the command is activated.
