Set up record work order requests

AVEVA™ Production Management uses the following elements to set up Maintenance to record work order requests.

External work order table

The business sets up this table in an OLE-DB compliant database, exports data from its EAM system to the table, and makes the table available for AVEVA™ Production Management to read from and insert data into.

Work order table

The work order table specifies the name of the external work order table to which AVEVA Production Management connects. AVEVA™ Production Management uses the work order table to read from and insert data into the external work order table.

Equipment ID

You assign equipment IDs to locations. AVEVA™ Production Management populates a work order request with the equipment ID of the location where the work order request is initiated.

Originator ID

You assign originator IDs to users. AVEVA™ Production Management populates a work order request with the originator ID of the user who initiates the request.

Configure the plant hierarchy

In addition to basic plant infrastructure, there are Planning elements to configure that will record Planning data.

Planning reporting points

The Planning reporting point item is the main element for capturing Planning data.

Business rules

Enables you to configure validation on data records to determine whether they meet criteria.
