Rename an item

  • Last UpdatedMar 21, 2025

When you first add an item, change the default name for the item. The rename command runs automatically the first time an item is added to the project. Start typing to replace the default name and then press Enter to commit the name change. You can change the name of an item at any time.

A Studio item in your project hierarchy executes a particular function. For example, an item can be a field, a reporting point, or a data source. It has it's own properties and can be individually stopped or started.

Important: Renaming an item that has dependencies on this name can affect the functionality of your project.
