Manage Shared favorites and folders (Admin topic)

Note: This procedure is available to users with the CanManageSharedFavorites permission.

If you have the CanManageSharedFavorites permission, you can manage Shared folders for favorites.

Organize Shared favorites with Shared folders

• Use Shared folders to organize Shared favorites into collections of views.

• Folders of Shared favorites are shared with one or more groups of users, as defined by User Groups.

• Users can access the Shared favorites within each folder that has been shared with them.

  

Show All Shared Folders

• Click the Manage Shared Folders button to enable and view all folders in the hierarchy.

  

  

Shared Favorite root folder

The Shared Favorites directory structure has a root folder.

• The root folder is visible in the Shared Favorites window (Save to Shared Favorites).

• You cannot add shared favorites directly under root folder.

• Only folders can be created under the root folder.

• The root folder cannot be shared with any group.

  

  Note The root folder is visible only when the CanShareFavorites property in project configuration is set to True.
