About the PI variable configuration window

You can access the PI variable configuration window through the Configuration Variables option available from the context menu of a PI group in the Project Explorer.

You can use the PI variable configuration window to do the following:

• View variables that are in the project and mapped to variables on the PI server.

• Add one or more variables from the PI server into the project.

• Delete one or more variables from the project.

  

Depending on the filtering that you set, the PI variable configuration window displays a list that includes the following:

• PI variable items of the PI Data Source item.

• PI variables or data points on the PI server that the PI connection item identifies.
