The monthly time event enables you to configure an event that occurs at a specific time of the year or month. You can specify which months of the year that a time event is active, and which days of the month.
Example
-
The production facility shuts down for a month of vacation every year.
-
The plant has extra lines running in the summer months.

You can also use the monthly time event to account for regular events that occur at certain times of the month.
Example
-
End of month production reports that are produced on the last day of every month.
-
A maintenance visit that happens on the second Tuesday of every month.
-
Planned cleaning that occurs on the 10th of every month.
To add a monthly time event
You can add timers anywhere in the project; however, it is a good idea to create a Timers folder and store the timers together in one location.
-
In the plant hierarchy, right-click the location to contain the time event, point to Add Item. then point to Time Event Item, then select Monthly Time Event. A new Monthly time event appears.
-
Rename the time event with a meaningful name.
-
Configure the properties. For guidance in configuring the properties, see Monthly time event properties.
