Configure AVEVA Events to CONNECT plug-in for on-demand history data recovery.
Prerequisites
Ensure that you have already configured the data curator using the Production Management Data Configuration tool. For detailed configuration steps, see Configure the data curator component.
To configure the agent for historical data recovery
-
Update the default value for the DataCollectionMode parameter from CurrentWithBackfill to HistoryOnly. To do this:
-
From the Start menu, under the AVEVA folder, run the agent Configurator as administrator.

-
In the Configurator window, under Events to CONNECT node, select Settings.
-
Navigate to the Data Egress tab and verify that the specified namespace ID is correct for pushing historical data. If you update the namespace ID or change any egress settings, select Validate. On successful validation, proceed to the next step.
-
On the Data Ingress tab, under the Data Source tab:
Expand the Defaults section, on the Data Collection Mode drop-down list, select HistoryOnly. Enter the client secret. Select Validate, and on successful validation, select Configure.
Note: The client secret for the data ingress is available in the data curator configuration tool.
