Prepare your CONNECT integration environment to visualize the AVEVA Production Management on-premises event data.

To set up your CONNECT integration environment

  1. Subscribe to CONNECT data services with your CONNECT account. For detailed information, refer to the CONNECT data services online help.

  2. Gather the following information for configuring the AVEVA Events to CONNECT egress settings in step 5. Use the CONNECT data services to find or create these details:

    • Egress endpoint URL - Developer Tools > API Console (Click on the URI property and append the /Namespaces with a forward slash (/). This displays all namespace IDs in a drop-down list, allowing you to select one to complete the full URL path.)

      The URL must be a valid HTTPS endpoint string similar to the following: https://{%CONNECTdataservicesDomain%}/api/v1/Tenants/{%tenant ID%}/Namespaces/{%Namespace Guid%}

    • Client ID and secret - Security > Clients (Refer to Add a client-credentials client in the CONNECT data services online help)

  3. Install AVEVA Events to CONNECT agent. For detailed AVEVA Events to CONNECT installation requirements, refer to the AVEVA Events to CONNECT online help.

  4. Install the data curator component.

  5. Configure AVEVA Events to CONNECT for data curation. This configuration lists the process of configuring the data egress settings.

  6. Configure the data curator component. This configuration step takes care of the AVEVA Events to CONNECT general and data ingress settings.

  7. Verify successful configuration.

  8. Restart Production Management Data Curator service.

  9. If this is the first time you are setting up CONNECT integration and you want to load your historical data, set the AVEVA Events to CONNECT agent's data collection mode to HistoryOnly and use its history recovery tool. For detailed steps, refer History recovery for on-premises data.

  10. Access CONNECT visualization to start event visualization. For information on using CONNECT visualization to visualize the published AVEVA Production Management event data, refer to Event Visualization visual type in the CONNECT visualization online help.
