AVEVA Process Simulation

Publishes simulation data.

AVEVA Pro/II Simulation

Publishes simulation data.

AVEVA Integration Services

Receives a notification about the availability of data and AVEVA Engineering reads the notification and uses the AutoCAD 2D Gateway to convert .dxf files to .svg files

AVEVA AutoCAD 2D Gateway

AutoCAD 2D Gateway converts the .dxf files to .svg files

AVEVA Engineering

Imports the .svg files and creates objects for the elements in the simulation that can be used in the initial design.

AVEVA Engineering Library Project

Is the sample data supplied with AVEVA Engineering. The sample data can be used to setup the solution quickly and get started. The project contains the required conceptual data model, vocabularies, unit operation classes and their attributes, functional objects and their association to unit operation classes, and class and attribute mappings required for transferring data from the simulation application to AVEVA Engineering.

Execution Project

Is the project you currently work with in your company to fulfill the company requirements.

Engineering Case

An Engineering Case is a condition defined for an object where the values of a pre-defined set of attributes of the object can change based on a specified condition. For example, if a pump needs to operate under three different temperatures and some of its attributes (such as outlet pressure) change based on the temperature, each temperature can be specified as a case and import and maintain the pump data for each case.

Class

The term is used in the context of the Conceptual Model. A class refers to a class of elements/tags/objects whose attributes have been defined collectively.

Object

An object is an instance of the class.

Process Flow Diagram Object

A Process Flow Diagram (PFD) object is an object on a drawing which creates a Functional Item (FUNITE).

3D Object

A 3D-object links with P&ID.

Functional Items (Functional Objects)

A functional item (FUNITE) is a datatype of dabacon to hold or represent the PFD data in engineering application.

Simulation Items (Unit Operation Objects)

A simulation item (SIMITE) is a datatype in dabacon for unit operations imported from simulations products.

Engineering Items

An engineering item (ENGITE) creates and updates a P&ID item through a Process Flow Diagram (PFD). It is realized by association for the following Functional Items (FUNITES) added in the Simulation / P&ID Terminology to facilitate the linking of Simulation or P&ID and PFD items.
