Use the Assign Signal to Channel window to assign signals to IO channels.

Signals grid
Displays details of the signals that can be assigned to the channels.
Hide assigned signals
Specifies whether or not signals already assigned to channels are listed in the Signals grid.
Show all signals
Specifies whether or not all signals are to be listed in the Signals grid.
Select (Signals grid)
Specifies which signals are to be assigned to the channels selected in the Channels grid.
Channels grid
Displays details of the channels of the selected IO module.
Select (Channels grid)
Specifies the channels to which signals selected in the Signals grid are to be assigned.
Also used to specify which signals are to unassigned from terminals using Remove.

Displays and hides details of the signals assigned to a channel.

Polarity
Specifies the polarity of a terminal marking.
Assign
Assigns the signals selected in the Signals grid to the channels selected in the Channels grid.
Disabled until a signal and a channel are selected.
Also disabled if selected channel’s cardinality (the number of signals it can accommodate) would be exceeding by assigning the signal, or if the channel types of the channels and signals are not compatible.
If a selected signal or signals are already assigned to a channel or channels, displays the Remove assigned signal from channel(s) window.
Remove
Removes signals selected in the Channels grid.
