Use the Set Attribute Propagation functionality to specify the default attribute propagation settings for piping network systems, piping network segments, centerlines and inline components.

The grid is populated with user defined attributes and inherited attributes, including vocabulary defined attributes, and their associated propagation settings. The vocabulary defined attributes are read only and cannot be modified.
Propagate
Select the check box to allow the propagation of the attribute throughout the piping hierarchy.
Deselect the check box to prohibit the propagation of the attribute throughout the piping hierarchy.
Used in Uniqueness
Select the check box to set the attribute as unique when created.
Deselect the check box to set the attribute as non-unique when created.
Note:
Confirmation messages are not displayed in the Engineer module when unique attributes are propagated throughout the piping hierarchy.
Note:
It is not recommended to set only the bore attribute as a unique attribute.
Display Attributes in the Grid
To display attributes in the grid, the associated class must be decorated as piping network system, piping network segment, centerline and piping component. The grid displays all attributes which are common and available in these four classes.
The example displays created insulation tracing and insulation condition user defined attributes for piping network system and piping network segment classes in the conceptual model.

The example displays the inherited name precedent attribute for piping network system and piping network segment classes in the conceptual model.
