The Field List window serves the following purposes:

Displays the list of all available data fields (attributes that can be shown in a report) and enables the creation of controls that display information from these fields.

Enables the creation of calculated fields by building expressions based on the values of data fields and report parameter values.

Displays existing report parameters and enables the addition of parameters to a report.
On the Report Designer tab, in the Windows group, select Field List from the Windows drop-down menu to display the Field List window.
The Field List window does not display multi-byte character sets if the respective language is not installed.
Different icons are displayed in the field list for standard attributes and attributes created via expression.
