Use the Create new boundary template window to create a boundary template. A boundary template is used to define an area of the drawing, including boundary symbols for Termination Diagram templates and boundary regions for Loop Drawing templates. All class items positioned within the boundary template are associated with the boundary template.

Type a unique name for the boundary template.
If the name is not unique, an error message displays summarizing the problem.

The boundary template is created as a member element of the currently selected symbol palette on the Setup Explorer.
Use the Attributes window to define the display name, description, class, attribute association and inclusion type.

If creating a boundary region for Loop Drawings templates, use the Association drop-down menu to select how the region is to identify the Loop objects that are to be located within it, based on the project's data model configuration. For example:

For information on how to add boundary regions to Loop Drawings templates, see Add Loop Drawing Template Regions.
For information on how to assign items to Loop objects to regions, see Assign Regions to Items for Placement on Auto-Generated Loop Drawings.
Class
Click ... adjacent to the Class field to select a class in the conceptual model. The selected class must be decorated as a boundary.
